WE BOUGHT A FARM!!!

We are now proud owners of a beautiful 344-acre farm located in Columbia County, NY, the heart of NY state agriculture. It has rolling hills, mountain views, two ponds, beautiful pastures, and fertile fields.

Why Have Our Own Farm?

We have been fortunate to have been able to rent facilities for Warrior Camp® programs over the past ten years, although our access to these facilities has been very limited. Since 2016 we have been conducting programs with lodging at one facility and then traveling to the horse farm every day for equine and other therapy sessions. This makes for long days and little opportunity for the relaxation and restoration needed between therapies. Having the horses, lodging, food, therapy offices, yoga studio and a sweat lodge all in the same place will be a complete game-changer.

TRR’s Permanent Home Will:

  • Allow TRR to provide dependable monthly programming
  • Position TRR to become an approved provider for VA, DOD, TRICARE, VA, and other insurance companies who we can bill for services
  • Allow TRR to expand its programming to support more veterans, more active duty servicemembers, as well as first responders and families
  • Meet or exceed all EPA standards for green building including solar panels, renewable energy, water efficiency, plant and land conservation and ADA compliance
  • Offer beautiful outdoor trails for exploring nature
  • Establish sustainable, organic gardens based on permaculture practices
  • Provide sources of revenue through corporate and private retreats to support free programming for participants

The farm will be a turning point for the men and women who need this program.

SUPPORT THE FARM

Can We Count on You?

It may appear that the wars are over. For many veterans and servicemembers, the war is not over. Every day veterans are taking their lives, unable to reconcile their inner wounds of service. These men and women are our neighbors, community, and family members. We cannot leave our nation’s veterans to face these challenges alone. We have a responsibility to acknowledge the wounds of their service and to help them repair and heal.

You will be a trailblazer in establishing the first green, sustainable, permaculture-based Military Veteran and First Responder retreat center in the United States.

There is no greater legacy. All gifts are tax-deductible and large gifts will earn naming rights on farm buildings and other structures (i.e. guest rooms).

Legacy Giving

Please remember TRR in your Will or Trust by bequeathing on your death cash or other assets to Trauma and Resiliency Resources, Inc.

You may make gifts to TRR during your lifetime of property, including securities, of most any kind, which have appreciated in value. This enables you to make a donation of the property, and take a tax deduction, at its full value without having to sell it and incur capital gains taxes.

For those over 70 1/2 years of age with IRAs who must withdraw, each year, a required minimum distribution (RMD), you can arrange with the IRA custodian to pay any part or all of your RMD, up to $100,000 annually, directly to TRR. This avoids the contributed amount being included in your taxable income at ordinary income rates.

SUPPORT A PROGRAM

Sponsor a Program – $30,000 per Warrior Camp®

Each Warrior Camp program is a week-long retreat for up to 12 combat Veterans. There is no cost to the participants and our staff is unpaid – all of our therapists and staff are volunteers. Any organization wishing to sponsor an entire program will be named as a major sponsor in all social, print and TV/radio media advertising as well as on our website.

Sponsor a Warrior – $2,500 per warrior

Each warrior’s food, lodging and treatment for a week costs us $2,500. Please consider being a sponsor for a specific warrior coming to treatment. You can also make a donation for any warrior.

Support TRR – Any amount

With an all-volunteer staff we are able to put the vast majority of our donations into providing as many Warrior Camps each year as facility availability allows. A donation of any size will have a direct impact in providing lifesaving therapy and aid to a warrior in need.

Support with Gifts in Kind

Airfare, especially for pre-9/11 veterans, is always needed. Contact us if you can donate tickets, miles, credit card points or other items.
